The Old Forge studio is a unique, 15th Century holiday retreat. Opposite the stunning flint Church in the village of Boxford an ideal place to relax, unwind and explore Suffolk.
The Studio, has a private entrance into an open plan living/dining area with a small kitchenette. Up the winding staircase is a romantic vaulted, beamed bedroom and ensuite. The space is small but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Well equipped with utensils and cooking equipment, including a full-size oven, small fridge/freezer, microwave, and a table to eat or work. Good Wi-Fi, a TV/DVD player, and many books to idle away your days. It provides the perfect bolthole to visit the beautiful surrounding countryside and villages. Boxford is a medieval village with a thriving community. It has a pub, a fantastic cafe, well stocked post office, beauticians and hairdresser.
Nestled between the market towns of Hadleigh and Sudbury, Boxford is close to Kersey, Lavenham, Stoke by Nayland, Dedham (Constable country) and Long Melford making it an ideal spot from which to explore the area. There are many footpaths leading from Boxford to ramble across the fields. And a choice of pretty country lanes with varied and interesting routes by bike. We can store bikes in our cart lodge around the back.
